HOW TO HELP GET KAMALA HARRIS ELECTED AND SAVE THIS COUNTRY FROM BECOMING A REGRESSIVE AUTOCRACY

Hello Readers —

Below are 6 different ways to jump in to help get Kamala elected. These are adapted from a list written by my old friend Sarah Min, who has been supporting Kamala Harris for many years. This page will be updated as the campaign progresses.

1. If you want to support Kamala directly, please make a contribution to the Harris campaign here. There is also a special fund through EMILY's List that has been supporting the VP all along; you can donate here. While the fundraising numbers in the days after Kamala became the presumptive nominee have been massive, the amount needed to canvas the country, blanket the airwaves and social, and hire an enormous amount of campaign staff is bottomless, so every dollar makes a difference.

2. Turning out college students is key to winning this election, especially college students in swing states. Support the Student Turnout Projects, an impressive initiative that has the smartest, most effective on-campus strategies to get out the vote on college campuses across swing states. Many of these strategies were implemented and successful in helping to drive turnout for the WI Supreme Court Justice race. There are three ways to support: 1. If you know of a student who wants to get involved, there is a Campus Fellow program in each of these states, you can find more info here by state (NC, MI, WI, PA). 2. Apply for one of their open positions here. 3. You can donate here.

3. If you are in between gigs, have always wanted to work on a campaign or have worked on a campaign, send your resume in here. See above: There is a huge need for various types of skills and experience while the campaign ramps up.

4. If you just generally want to get in on the excitement and join in on what will be an historic election, sign up to volunteer for various types of activity here. There are groups for specific communities, including one for AANHPIs, if you're looking for a specific group, please let me know and I'll get you connected.

5. If you are an artist who would like to donate a piece of your art or someone who wants to donate a piece of art, please see the attached forms. The deadline for submission is August 15, and there will be an upcoming auction with all proceeds going to the campaign.

6. The most important—and sometimes the hardest work—is to talk with people, generate excitement, correct misinformation and respond with facts about Kamala and the work that the Biden Harris administration has done for Americans. You can find those facts here

There are still many days to go, and as we have seen, anything can happen, so please help keep up the momentum, and ride through the ups and downs on this roller coaster until November 5, 2024.
